There are three Cattle sections at the Deloraine Show: Dairy, Beef and Junior Handlers.
The dairy section includes classes for Holstien Friesians, Jersey, Ayrshire, Illawarra, Guernseys. There are special classes that include the prestigious Kurrajong Shield – awarded to the best group of dairy cattle.
There are numerous breeds within the beef section, for a breed to have its own class there must be at least 4 cattle entered in that breed. The most prestigious interbreed classes are Supreme Champion Bull and Supreme Champion Female.
The junior handlers are divided into two sections – beef and dairy. There are different classes depending on age. The champion handler for both sections are eligible to compete in the State Finals held at Circular Head Show.
